Founded by Richard Browning, Gravity Industries is a British technology start-up with innovation, endeavour and inspiration at its core.
The mission is to build an inspirational technology company by re-imagining the future of human flight and pioneering aeronautical innovation.
First steps were to design a type logo and icon mark.
Also a badge to celebrate the British engineering behind the project.
Next I was tasked with designing and building a fully responsive website ready for the launch into the media
There was a lot of test footage mainly filmed on an iPhone. This needed to be compiled into a watch-able teaser to send out to press.
future suit design
Now for the exciting bits, designing how the next generation GRAVITY suit will look.
The technology combines body mounted miniaturised jet-engines,
with a specially designed exo-skeleton allowing vertical take off and flight
An all in one protective suit
Plus a Heads Up Display in the visor
The final suit in all it's glory
With a quick paint job to all over black, check out the final suit from all angles.
pushing the suit further
Along side designing the next stage of suit we were also looking into pushing the boundaries of human flight and engineering some pretty nifty add ons.
Think Buzz Light Year
Last resort body airbag.
The suit in action.
First person view.
How the Heads Up Display will look.
Try controlling the suit as it flies over London.
commercial fan propelled system
Soon to be crowd funded, a commercial version of the suit for everyone to try. This will be propelled by fans instead of jet engines and will allow you to bounce as if you were on the moon.
2 fans mounted on each arm and leg with a trigger for thrust.
These will give enough thrust to lift you off the ground to around the hight of a meter
All the fans connect to a back pack which is where the battery will be housed.
This is the full suit.
The experience will be like walking on the moon.
the gravity lab
There will soon be a GRAVITY lab (think Stark Labs in Iron Man) based in Stratford Olympic Park. This is where we will be developing the future of human flight, and it will hopefully be open to the public to try some pretty crazy gadgets. I have been designing the first concepts of how this may look
MORE TO COME SOON!
This is a very exciting ongoing project so stay tuned for more updates.
